Budget Analysis

Each fall, The Children’s Agenda’s policy experts analyze the proposed Monroe County budget. The proposed 2008 budget was released October 30, 2007 and it is currently under review. Please check back for analysis and recommendations soon! The 2007 Monroe County budget maintained essential supports for children and their families. Further effective strategies to strengthen children’s well-being, and that of our community, can and must be built on this foundation. In particular, we have three important areas of concern for improvement: Foster Care, Child Protective Services, and Day Care Subsidies.
